Terms of Use

1. What TAT is

TAT — The Alchemist’s Turning is a life-simulation game published by Sui Generis Technologies. It is entertainment. It is not an IQ test, a personality test, a psychological assessment, a diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind — including financial, legal, medical or career advice. Nothing the game tells you about yourself is a clinical finding.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age shown at registration to create an account. Where your local law sets a higher age for this kind of service, that higher age applies to you.

3. Your account

You play under a nickname, not your real identity. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• choose a nickname that impersonates staff, moderators, or another player;
• publish another person’s private information through any field in the game;
• attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access;
• probe, scan, or interfere with the service or its supporting infrastructure;
• use automated means to create accounts or manipulate scores or rankings;
• use the service in a way that breaks the law where you are.

5. Decisions are permanent

TAT is built around irreversible choices. Once you commit a meaningful decision it becomes part of your permanent history and cannot be undone, reversed, retried or edited — by you or by us. A simulated life may end, and a completed life is sealed and read-only. This is the intended design of the game and not a fault, and we do not restore, reverse, or compensate for it.

6. Availability

We aim to keep TAT available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and may take the game offline for maintenance.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

8. Intellectual property

TAT, its name, seal, artwork, text, scenarios and software are owned by Sui Generis Technologies. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to play the game. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”. Sui Generis Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of TAT. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the game before they take effect. Continuing to play after that point means you accept the updated terms.
